“Protein Units” are a part of the Ideal Weight Program and first mentioned in the course, the Simple Food Diet
Protein plays a particularly important role in weight management, so we pay special attention to it in the simple food diet. To help you efficiently manage your protein intake, we've created a measure of protein called the Protein unit. Protein unit equals one ounce of meat, including poultry and seafood or tofu. And if you prefer to think of protein intake in grams. It's also approximately equivalent to 6 grams of protein. For those who use the metric system, one protein unit equals about 25 grams of meat or tofu at the Ideal Weight program.
We've reviewed the research on the optimal protein intake for weight loss and used it to design A proprietary formula that automatically calculates your protein unit target based on your weight, height, age, gender, and physical activity level. The protein unit system is designed to take much of the work out of figuring out and sticking with your optimal protein intake. You can find your personalized protein unit target on your Dashboard’s Weight Tile. We've also created a protein unit equivalency table for other protein foods.

What is my tiles doesn’t show my Protein Units?
It could be two things, typically.
First, you might been two days of weight data logged to have Protein Units calculated.
Second, in the onboarding process, we ask for your date of birth and your gender. If either of those pieces of information are not entered, your weight tile will not show a Protein Unit calculation. To fix this, go to Account Seetings → Health Settings → Body Information where you will find both Gender and Date of Birth. Make sure both are entered and then click save.
